The All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) is a yearly college entrance examination in India. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in several medical colleges around the country. AIPMT is equivalent to IIT JEE which is conducted for entrance to IITs in India.

Exam Pattern for All India Pre Medical Test 2012
The preliminary PMT consists of 200 questions (four options with single correct answer)
The mains PMT consists of 120 questions (four options with one correct answer)
Duration is 3 hours for both exams
Ball-point pens to be used for the exams.

ELIGIBILITY for General Candidates.
Indian Nationals who have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31 December /2012.
